Skim Coat Additive “200” is a two-in-one additive used specifically for the preparation of plastering mortar as well as skim coating mixture at site. As an additive for plastering mortar, it is the best quality plastering additive money can buy. Skim Coat Additive “200” is also an additive which has all the ingredients (except cement) for making skim coat yourself. All you need to do is just add enough cement to form the fine coating mixture you desire. Skim Coat Additive “200” eliminates undesirable honeycomb cracks* and minimizes hairline cracks substantially.

Recommended usage
- Can be used as an additive to prepare plastering mortar for plastering of claybrick, sandbrick and concrete walls.
- Also formulated specially for fine coating of plastered brick walls and concrete walls/ceilings. Use white cement if white colour base is desired
Application method
Preparation for Plastering Mortar
- Fill the concrete mixer with sufficient water
- Add Skim Coat Additive “200” into the concrete mixer and mix it for about 10 minutes
- Add cement into the concrete mixer
- Add sand into the concrete mixer
- Ready for application after the mortar is homogenised
Recommended proportion :
- Skim Coat Additive “200" 4 kg
- Cement 50 kg
- Sand 200-300 kg
Preparation for Skim Coating
- Shake the bag well before opening it
- Open the bag and pour Skim Coat Additive “200” into a clean bucket.
- Stir the additive solutions well.
- Add about 4kg of cement. Adjust the amount of cement to obtain the usual desired viscosity and consistency
- Trowel on wall with slight pressure for better compaction
- For best results, apply when the newly plastered wall is approx. 80% dry
- Leave the finished wall overnight for curing

Storage and Handling
